    • Long Distance Regatta,
      • Starting in Athlone (LRYC) and travelling over two days through the River Shannon stopping in villages including Clonmacnoise, Banagher finishing in Portumna (top of Lough Derg). - An Adventure if there ever was one.

Like all Clubs we are a core group who love to do what we do - get out on Lough Derg and enjoy our Club grounds.

Coming into a busy 2020 Season - we need our members to help out where they can and want!

Helping out can mean on the water, watching sailing or joining in with a bunch of members to help spruce up the Club. Good community and good fun!

    LDYC Flooding 2020

Due to the rain over the past few weeks and months - Lough Derg's level has seen a significant increase in its level.

While we have sent out notices to the members via email we still recommend anyone who has not checked-on and moved their boat (lake boat, cruiser or dinghy) do so as soon as possible.

Any queries contact our Club Manager when you are on the grounds in the Office.

Sign-Up to the  the Work Day for 28th March and we will join together for a clean up where needed.

Thanks to Peter Kennedy, Claire Toohey and LDYC RNLI for the photos
